Have an upcoming event?

It would be my honor to spend time with your class, library program, or group!

As a library leader it has been my goal to cultivate and maintain a supportive team-based environment that leverages the individual strengths of each team member towards ambitious and successful pursuit of shared priorities. I am also committed to professional service, with multiple years in executive leadership of a state-level professional association, and other roles as well. Supporting the work of my fellow librarians and professionals in higher education is something I believe in and I have been honored to do across a number of meaningful opportunities.

As a scholar I have spent much of the last decade researching the birth of an independent communications intelligence organization in the early U.S. Air Force. My monograph, Rise of the Mavericks, is the only academic work exclusively dedicated to the history of the U.S. Air Force Security Service to date. Bringing together conversations on post-World War II military unification, the emergence of the U.S. national security establishment, and the unique Cold War environment, it presents a fascinating story—one that needed to be told.

Sharing these stories and these experiences with others is one of my favorite things to do, and I would welcome the opportunity to work with you as a speaker for your event. I am available for both virtual and in-person presentations, and I look forward to meeting you and your audience!
